I've always been fascinated by the human body; how we see it, what we think about it, and how it's shown in the world. This series, 'Raw Figure,' is my way of exploring that. On one hand, you have the body in art history, something beautiful and timeless. On the other, you have the body in magazines and ads, where it's often treated like an object for sale. In my paintings, I like to mix those two worlds together. By placing a raw, painted figure next to commercial text or logos, I'm highlighting that strange contrast between what feels deeply personal and what's been turned into a product. My drawings are much simpler. They're just about looking closely and honestly at the figure, with all its unique lines and shapes. I'm not interested in perfection; I'm drawn to the realness of the body. For me, this is more than just drawing or painting. It's a way to process all the messages we get about our bodies. This work is the start of a conversation I plan to continue for a long time, as I keep exploring the beauty and complexity of the human form.
