My 'Ceramics Etc.' collection is where my curiosity takes three-dimensional form. This is my space to play with the line between function and sculpture, exploring what a ceramic object can be. Some pieces are created with a purpose in mind; a cup to be held, a bowl to be used. They are about the intimate relationship we have with the objects in our daily lives. Others have no function at all; they are purely about shape, texture, and presence. I love moving between these two mindsets, letting a lump of clay decide whether it wants to be useful or simply exist as an object of contemplation.
